Michael Hines
Michael is a BAFTA winning single and multi-camera director, highly experienced in network sitcom and scripted comedy, drama, commercials and children’s TV. He also directs theatre, specialising in theatre for the arena, most recently being screen director for the Strictly Come Dancing Arena Tour and Torvill and Dean's Farewell Tour. He is currently directing Steve Backshall's Deadly Live Arena Tour.
He was awarded a Lifetime Achievement BAFTA in 2019 for directing all 62 episodes of Still Game. The award-winning comedy remains the most watched non-sports programme in Scotland over the last decade.

He recently completed his first feature film Man and Witch with Christopher Lloyd, Sean Astin and Tami Stronach which has its release in the US this summer to critical acclaim. His most recent tv series was sole director of Dog Squad, the live action drama series, directing all 54 episodes for CBeebies.
Kirsty Hines-Mackay
Kirsty Kirsty is a Glasgow based director with a passion for comedy.
In last few years she has directed BBC Alba award winning sketch show ‘FUNC’, ‘Lagging’-a teen comedy for CBBC, written and directed her own comedy short ‘Romance is Dead’.

She also directed the second unit for a feature film ‘Man and Witch’, starring Tami Stronach and Christopher Lloyd.
Kirsty won one of only two places on the Emerging Voices short film scheme this year and her winning film "Last Call" has just been finished. Her short film "Hogmanay" starring Peter Mullan, Siobahn Redmond and Laura Harvey is on the festival circuit just now.
AWARDS/HIGHLIGHTS
The Woven Thread has been recognized for its outstanding work in television production. In 2019, we were honoured to receive the RTS Award for Best Comedy Show for the Gaelic Sketch Show FUNC.
Additionally, our mockumentary 'Da La San Damhair (Two days in October)' earned us the Best Entertainment award at the Celtic Media Festival.
